Since March 2022, I am representing GroenLinks (GreenLeft) in Eindhoven's city council. As a council member, I work to create a greener and more socially responsible city. I am concerned about the consequences of the climate crisis, the shortage of affordable housing, and the growing gap between rich and poor.
I seek to prioritize bold green and social proposals. For example, I have prevented the felling of hundreds of trees, drawn attention to the pressure on the housing market, and strengthened the position of low- and middle-income earners. Thanks to my efforts, we support housing cooperatives, explore how to give home seekers a stronger voice and a stronger voice, and create additional floors for new homes.
Elections
Municipal elections will be held on Wednesday, March 18, and I'm running for GroenLinks-PvdA. I want to continue working to keep Eindhoven sustainable, livable, and social. A city where we focus on nature and people, rather than on increased economic growth. With more space for pedestrians, cyclists, and green spaces. Where we will build a tramway and two new train stations.
I hope I can count on your vote on March 18th!
- Rutger Rauws: List 1, number 9.
